About

The Scottish-born Rory McLauchlan graduated from St Martin's School of Art in 1985. He now lives and works in Scotland.

McLauchlan won The Cargill Prize at the Royal Glasgow Institute of Fine Art and has exhibited with The Royal Scottish Academy in Edinburgh and the Paisley Art Institute.

Primarily a landscape painter, McLauchlan paints with bold colours and vigour. His goal is to capture the "essence and character of a particular place through the spontaneous use of colour, line and shape to create new forms.”
